Cut it but not too much shorter, past the shoulders is nice but I understand it can be cumbersome, so just cut it enough so that you're happy and that it's still manageable.

ask your friends if you have a slender face and then ya it looks really good if you have it a little shorter but long hair is really pretty and you can do so much more with it. my hair lenghth is the same as yours. if you have thick hair then get layers its really cute!

Your prenatal vitamins should help with growth rate. But, other than that, not much really helps with growth. I'm sure it still looks lovely and that your husband will love it when he returns.
you can't make your hair grow faster it grows about a half an inch a month. sorry . im sure he will love it though! .
There really is nothing that you can do to make it grow faster--hair doesn't speed up its growth, it's pretty constant. You can, however, go to your stylist and see if she can do anything to fix it in such a manner that is flattering to your face. You can also get permanent or clip in extensions.

sorry, but the best thing you can do is to keep forcing down those prenatal vitamins. Some women's hair has a growth spurt during pregnancy %26amp; others their hair doesn't grow at all. The average growth in 6 weeks would be 1/4 to 1/2 an inch.

Well... there isn't anything i can think of that will make any kind of difference in six weeks. Hair, even fast growing hair, doesn't really grow that fast. it may start to look like it's easing out of the awkward stage in six weeks if it's REALLY short.
Why don't you embrace it if you can't change much? A short cut looks great with a fun colour.. so maybe a fun colour to reconcile you to your new length will help ease the cut regrets..
also certain clothing styles look great with short hair.. ruffles can make it pixish, a turtleneck can really highlight bold, short hair.. you might find the cut looks better with different necklines and clothing styles.

Okay. Healthy hair grows 1/2 an inch a month. There are a few things that can help though.
1.) I am sure that you are on a multivitamin/Prenatal vitamin right? That helps your hair to grow longer and healthier.
2.) Scalp Massages help some people, plus it probably feels good. You basically just turn your head upside down and take the tips of your fingers and massage the scalp. Here is a link to a thread about it:

3.) Do you heat style? This damages the hair in if done repeatedly causes it to break which will make it not seem to get any longer. I would suggest giving it up for at least a few weeks.
4.) You can take biotin, a vitamin that speeds hair growth for some people. Wouldn't do this until you make sure it's not harmful to the baby. This talks about MSM and Biotin:

5.) There is also an oil called Hair Rush by New Chapters that you should check out. It is an herbal growth stimulator oil that you massage onto your scalp.
6.) In the african american products in the hair products isles in stores you can find root stimulators and growth products that may work for you. Just don't get anything with Petrolum in it.

I think you're generalizing. I've been married for over a year now and my hair is the longest its been in the last 3 years. sometimes women feel more powerful when they get a "power" cut. its kinda common knowledge that females with short hair look more powerful and in charge. so maybe thats it. but both me and my step-mom have long hair along with many of the other moms I know. it also depends on if the married woman stays at home or works. short hair is more professional. long hair is easier to work with when rushed with kids.

Thats not always true as trends and times change they just change their hairstyles thats all and some of the changes they make may require the hair to be cut and maybe trimmed I made that mistake I had beautiful hair,thought I would change my hair color went to a trusted friends salon had my color changed,few days later I went completely bald I had no choice but to cut the rest off and start over.Also you arent stuck w/anyone you dont want to be stuck with it is a preference if you choose to stay then thats your fault but to feel stuck w/her after she changes her hair is kind of shallow.I'm very glad my husband didnt feel like he was stuck w/ me after I lost my hair.
