Do guys look better with short hair and girls better with long hair? and dumb the other way round?

I'm a guy growing my hair and everyone is telling me i look much better with short hair and that guys shouldn't grow their hair long. I've been offered the money to cut my hair etc. I'm of the opinion that girls look really lame with short hair so i'm thinking maybe they're right. What do you people think about guys with long hair and girls with short hair?

I think it depends- some girls' short hairstyles can look really cute (see Mandy Moore in her short hair phase), taking into consideration the girl's face shape, facial features, personal style, etc. Also, guys can look good with long hair, but in my experience because they don't style/really take care of the hair, it doesn't look very good.

From my experience, if a girl has short hair, then she is a mom. I don't care if she's 8 years old; short hair + girl = a mom.

i think guys can look good with long hair if they have the right face, and i think girls can look okay either way too.

guys with hair down to their ears is so cool, anylonger tho, and its freaky, unless your hair is only long on the bottom and not all the way around
