MY MMOTHER ALWAYS CUT MY HAIR EVERY 1 MONTH THOUGH IT IS ALREADY SHORT..SHE SAYS SHORT HAIR IS BETTER THAN LONG HAIR FOR GIRLS..AHY IS THAT SO?

Why does my mother always say that my hair must be very short?

Well, the thing is that shorter hair is easier to give maintainence than long hair.

I have always kept my hair up to the shoulders and the shortest I cut it is chin level.

One more thing I have learned is that when you let your hair grow longer than usual, most of the weight of your hair is in the back and this sometimes makes your hair weaker in the crown.

Talk to your mom and tell her that you would like to try and let your hair grow shoulder level and no longer than that, and see if she agrees.

But what hairstylists say is to trim or cut your hair every month and a half to keep it strong with no split ends.

not really, it depends on the person: face, built, personality. maybe she just likes short hair and maybe you do look good with it, but anyway it's up to you to decide how you want to grow your hair.

Who knows lol My mother doesnt like long hair on me either. When i was a child i ALWAYS had hair that was above my shoulders, but now that im an adult i do what i want (and its been very long for about 6 years now). Its easier to look after when its short, maybe thats why =)

Shorter hair is more manageable, but talk to your mom and tell her you prefer it long. Then be sure to have her buy some good conditioner or a spray on detangler(you can buy a good one at walmart called Equate brand) You should still let your mom take you for trims, not cuts, this will keep your hair nice . Does your mother have long hair? If so it's because she wants to be the dominant female. I just cut 8 1/2 inches of mine and it's short for me and I totally hate it! Never again. I personally think that women should have nice length to there hair as they look much more feminine.Your how old? As you should have some say in the way you want to look.You have to wear that look and be comfortable with it, so tell your Mother in a none threatening way that you would like to try a change and are wanting to let your hair grow after all it's on your head!
