it depends on your personally feelings. I just recentally cut my hair it was down to the middle of my backand now it is chin length. I would start off cutting it just a little bit at a time until you get it the length you like if you cut it a little at the time you can always go shorter but if you just hack it off you might get it to short and you might not like it.
